Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how eDandora (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the eDandora website and mobile applications (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
When you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, profile photo, and phone number, provided directly by you or through a sign-in provider (Google, Facebook, or Apple).
- Location information: your device's approximate or precise location, used to show nearby organizations and events, if you grant permission.
- Contacts: with your permission, we compute a one-way cryptographic hash of phone numbers in your device contacts, on your device, to suggest friends who are already on eDandora. Your raw contact list is never sent to our servers.
- Content you create: comments, likes, shares, reviews, event registrations, and friend connections.
- Usage information: how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed and features used, collected via analytics tools.
- Payment information: when you make a donation or purchase a ticket, payment is handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment but do not store your full card number.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the Service, including showing relevant organizations and events near you;
- Process event registrations, donations, and ticket purchases;
- Enable social features such as comments, friend requests, and friend-suggestion via hashed contact matching;
- Send you notifications about events, organizations you follow, and account activity;
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Service; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We share information with organizations you register for events with (such as your name and registration details, so they can manage attendance), with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as Stripe for payments and cloud hosting providers), and when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
5. Your Choices
- You can decline location or contacts permissions; some features may be limited as a result.
- You can edit or delete content you've posted, such as comments or reviews.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means.
9. Contact Us
